Partner Eric Korre Horten retires on 30 June 2021

When Eric Korre Horten retires on 30 June 2021 after almost 40 years of service, he puts an end to a long and significant legal career. A career which from the beginning has been characterized by fascination with and in-depth knowledge of the IT and tech industry as well as a deep commitment to the startup community.

Eric Korre Horten received his law degree in 1977. After a period at, among others, Christian Rovsing A/S, which at the time was the flagship of the Danish IT industry, he returned as an attorney-at-law in 1985. He became partner in O. Bondo Svane (today Plesner) in 1987 and was admitted to the Supreme Court in 1990. In 2001 he became partner in Philip, which merged with Bech-Bruun in 2012. In 2015 Eric became partner in Mazanti-Andersen.

Throughout the years Eric has worked extensively within the fields of corporate and commercial law. He is specialised in primarily the establishment and financing of companies and startups and has advised several Danish and international listed companies and financial institutions within stock exchange law, capital markets and general corporate law as well as real estate development.

Eric's involvement and great commitment to startup companies dates back to the 1980s, when he assisted Olicom and later Danionics. His fascination with the journey from founding to exit has only developed over the years, which is why it is a field of interest in which Eric still works

In addition to his work as an attorney-at-law and trusted advisor, Eric has taught at both the University of Copenhagen and Copenhagen Business School.

An Active Third Age

Everyone at Mazanti-Andersen wishes Eric all the best for the future and thanks him for his dedicated work throughout the years. Although he is now retiring as an attorney, Eric will continue to have close ties with Mazanti-Andersen and the office in Amaliegade in connection with his work as a consultant as well as chairman and board member of several companies.
